Innovation at the VNCHIP Research Institute
At the VNCHIP Research Institute, we drive innovation through in-depth research projects focused on advanced microchip architectures. Our expert teams and engineers are developing key technologies such as chiplet-based systems, domain-specific architectures for AI/ML, and energy-efficient circuit designs for IoT devices.
The Institute also collaborates closely with domestic and international experts to adopt next-generation EDA and integrate AI assistants into design workflows. These intelligent design tools help shorten chip development cycles, increase accuracy, and enhance IP reusability in large-scale projects.
Aligned with our vision to advance Vietnam’s IC design industry, the VNCHIP Research Institute prioritizes research and implementation of cloud-based IC design platforms and open-source PDK ecosystems (SkyWater, RISC-V). Our goal is to expand technology access for young engineers, tech startups, and university collaboration projects.
Beyond research activities, the Institute invests heavily in developing high-quality human resources through interdisciplinary training programs that combine engineering, business, and project management. We aim to equip the next generation of Vietnamese engineers with a strong foundation to become future tech leaders or semiconductor startup founders.
