Dr. Tran Thanh Hung is a renowned Associate Professor and a key leader at VNCHIP Institute, heading the Research and Development department and directing VNCHIP Institute. He began his academic journey at the prestigious Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, later earning his Ph.D. from Cornell University in New York. His past teaching and research experience spans positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of California – Irvine and as an Associate Professor at Texas Tech University. Dr. Tran Thanh Hung has received numerous distinguished grants, including the NSF Grant for his work on "The Geometry of Minimal Surfaces and Four-Dimensional Manifolds," the Simons Foundation Collaboration Grant, and a collaborative grant from the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics. These awards highlight his expertise and dedication to advancing research in cutting-edge fields. At VNCHIP Institute, Dr. Tran Thanh Hung is committed to advance Vietnam’s semiconductor industry by establishing VNCHIP Institute as a world-class hub for IC Design and Technology Research. His goal is to combine his global expertise with local knowledge, driving innovation and helping position Vietnam as a leader in the high-tech sector. Under his leadership, VNCHIP is laying a strong foundation for the development of future talent in semiconductors and technology.
